This is the Xinshi Hobby Metal Slug X 4-Ton Truck Land Seeker Plastic Model Kit.
Included Figure: Morden Army Bazooka Soldier
Includes one unpainted figure and bonus parts.
Assembling the bonus parts included with each kit (XNSMSX001~XNSMSX006) completes the “Space Tank”.
・About Metal Slug: A series of side-scrolling action shooting games, the first released by SNK in 1996. Players control special forces operatives infiltrating rebel or terrorist military bases to rescue allied prisoners, annihilate enemy forces, and destroy secret weapons (bosses).
It was released on the company's home consoles “Neo Geo” and “Neo Geo CD,” the arcade Neo Geo ‘MVS’ (Multi Video System), and later ported to other home consoles.
The title “Metal Slug” originates from the high-performance one-man mini-tank appearing in the game.
Its appeal lies in its beautifully crafted 2D pixel art, often called “artisan craftsmanship,” well-executed presentation, high-quality music, and strong gameplay. It still has a large fanbase today and remains a popular series, with new titles released even in recent years.
About Metal Slug X: A remake version of ‘Metal Slug 2’. While the story and stage progression remain the same as in ‘2’, it features increased background details, additional weapon items and enemy types, difficulty adjustments through altered enemy placement, revised system voices, and partially re-edited BGM. Furthermore, in ‘2’, shooting certain objects like the infinite missiles fired by enemy tanks awarded points. This was modified in ‘X’ to remove point scoring for these objects, effectively preventing easy and monotonous score farming.
The PlayStation version was the last PlayStation software released by the former SNK.
Furthermore, following ‘1’, the PS port includes the Combat School mode.
