Vee-Hobby “1/700 US Light Cruiser USS Oakland CL-95 1945 Deluxe Edition” Plastic Model Kit. \
The Oakland was commissioned in 1943 as the fifth ship of the Atlanta-class light cruisers.\
She supported Operation Galvanic in 1943, provided fire support during the Battle of Kwajalein in 1944, and participated in the Battle of the Philippine Sea in June and the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October. \
After the war, she was engaged in Operation Magic Carpet, decommissioned in March 1959, and scrapped in December.\
The mast and nameplate of the Oakland were donated to the city of Oakland, her namesake.\
The Oakland received nine battle stars for her service in World War II.\
The kit is a seagoing model. \
Includes an injection-molded plastic hull, photo-etched parts, metal gun barrels, deck mask stickers, and decals.\
