Description
SAMYANG - Video Prime AF Lens - Full-Frame Compatible - Lightweight 280g - 888848
The “SAMYANG V-AF 45mm T1.9” is a full-frame compatible standard prime AF lens for Sony E-mount. Its lightweight, compact body incorporates numerous features optimized for video applications.\
\
SAMYANG's new “V-AF” lens series was created for all video creators, from individual filmmakers to small-scale productions and filmmakers. It incorporates various features designed to meet creators' demands for “producing higher-quality video more easily.”\
■Uniform Size and Weight\
All V-AF series lenses share a compact size of Φ72.2×72.1mm and a lightweight 280g, consistent across ultra-wide to medium telephoto focal lengths. Their small, lightweight design reduces the burden when mounted on drones or gimbals. Additionally, the uniform center of gravity eliminates the need to rebalance the gimbal during lens changes. This significantly shortens shooting time.\
■8K Compatibility & Unified Color Tone\
The V-AF series is designed for high-resolution cameras up to 8K. Furthermore, it features a unified color balance compliant with SAMYANG's CCI standard. This ensures consistent color when using multiple V-AF series lenses, reducing post-production time.\
■Quiet and Fast AF\
The AF system, featuring a Linear STM motor, is fast, accurate, and exceptionally quiet, making it ideal for video recording.\
■Instant Recording Status Indication via Tally Lamp\
Tally lamps, indicating recording status via LED, are positioned on the front and side of the lens. When recording starts, the lamp color changes from green to red, allowing you to instantly determine if recording is active, even in self-recording scenarios.\
■Smooth Focus Control\
Features “Linear MF Mode,” which adjusts focus position proportionally to the focus ring rotation angle (300°). Additionally, the gear-equipped focus ring allows direct attachment of the optional “Cine Kit” accessory. This enables precise and accurate focus adjustments using follow focus.\
■Focus Hold Button and Custom Switch\
The Focus Hold button is assigned to either Focus Hold (during AF) or Focus Save (during MF). Additionally, frequently used functions like “Eye AF” can be assigned from the camera body.\
...During AF operation, pressing and holding the Focus Hold button while focused on the subject locks the focus position.\
...During MF operation, pressing and holding the Focus Hold button allows you to memorize any desired focus position.\
Switching the Custom Switch enables aperture setting via the focus ring during AF operation. \
*V-AF series lenses can be connected to a computer via the optional accessory “Lens Station” to customize various functions and update lens firmware.\
*Requires installation of the dedicated software “Samyang Lens Manager”.\
■Metal Mount Compatible with V-AF Dedicated Accessories\
Equipped with a metal mount featuring electronic contacts on the front of the lens. The dedicated accessory “Manual Focus Adapter” (sold separately) can be attached for professional cinema lens operation.
