The Lensbaby Sweet 22 is an ultra-wide-angle pancake lens featuring a large, flowing bokeh effect at the periphery, excluding the central sweet spot. It boasts the smallest sweet spot (the area in focus) of all Lensbaby lenses, producing a large bokeh effect at the periphery. The clear separation between in-focus and out-of-focus areas creates a truly "sea of impressionistic blur." This lens is also recommended for portraits, where placing the subject at the center of the composition enhances the image. This distinctive effect also allows for capturing striking scenes in video. The fixed metal barrel allows for a body thickness of just 38mm. The minimum focusing distance is 12.7cm from the tip of the lens, making it ideal for snapshots. The fixed aperture is f/3.5, so use an ND filter to adjust shutter speed and brightness.
The "Sweet 22" has a fixed aperture of F3.5, so you cannot adjust brightness or shutter speed with the aperture. The "Sweet 22 kit" comes with an ND8 filter for brightness adjustment. It is also a special edition that comes with a lens case with the Lensbaby logo and a cleaning cloth.
