Since its release in 2014, “Gemstone Sparkle” has become a beloved classic. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the “2024 New Edition” arrives with completely refreshed artwork. The “2024 New Edition” features artwork themed around East-West trade along the Silk Road. It also introduces a diamond-shaped starting player marker. The core game rules remain unchanged. During the game, players acquire gem and gold tokens. These tokens are used to purchase development cards, which grant prestige points and bonuses. These bonuses allow players to purchase later development cards at a discount. As bonuses accumulate, players may also receive visits from nobles (which also counts as prestige points). When any player reaches 15 prestige points, the player with the most prestige points at the end of that round wins. With simple rules, short playtime, and deep strategy, it's a masterpiece game that makes you want to play again immediately after one session.
