In BANGKOK, each player creates their own floating market. Acquire the boats carrying the most advantageous items in the harbor, which is the playing area. The player who creates the floating market with the most points at the end wins.
Deal each player one tile and a set of three cards with bamboo drawn on them, so that the items are hidden from the other players. Separate the chili pepper cards from the other cards, shuffle them, and make a draw pile. Draw two cards from the chili pepper draw pile and seven cards from the boat draw pile, shuffle them, and lay them face up in a 3x3 grid. This is the harbor, which is the play area.
Players place one card from their hand next to a row or column in the port to claim that port card. The placed card must contain at least one item found in the row or column it joins.
After drawing cards, only if a player holds four or more cards may they select cards from their hand to build their own Floating Market. Players efficiently earn points based on the items in their Floating Market and how they arrange them. The game ends immediately when any player completes their Floating Market (3x3 grid). Calculate everyone's scores at the end of the round—the player with the highest score wins.
