To commemorate this milestone and revisit its origins, the DW-5900 emerges under the theme “Back to Basics,” reviving a legendary past model for today. The DW-5900C, an early G-SHOCK digital basic model, featured three innovative digital graphics unlike conventional LCD models. First released overseas, it gained worldwide popularity and later broke into the Japanese market through reverse imports. This model makes its comeback in 2018. It faithfully reproduces the original design, down to the color of the dial markings. It also includes practical functions like a stopwatch, timer, and EL backlight.
