Since the late 1990s, G-SHOCK/BABY-G has produced collaboration models with various environmental organizations and continues to support these groups. In 2025, under the theme “Love The Sea And The Earth,” we support EARTHWATCH Japan, which aids diverse environmental conservation and research efforts including endangered ecosystems, marine and biological diversity, and climate change. This model features the MUDMAN from the MASTER OF G series, equipped with a Mud-Resist structure. The design is inspired by the hippopotamus*, a species threatened with extinction due to habitat loss from development and climate change, as well as poaching. The thick, rough hippo skin is dynamically rendered on the bezel and band, evoking the image of this tough land mammal, the third largest in the world. The buttons also feature a hippo motif, finished in rose gold IP. The band bears EARTHWATCH Japan's call to action, “Change the World. Yourself.” The logo mark is printed on the bezel. The logo also appears on the LED backlight, and the case back is engraved with the “Love The Sea And The Earth” symbol mark, showcasing meticulous design details throughout. It incorporates Tough Solar, powered even by minimal light like fluorescent lamps, embodying environmental consideration. The packaging utilizes a dedicated box made from recycled paper.\
＊A hippopotamus is a mammal belonging to the order Artiodactyla, family Hippopotamidae, genus Hippopotamus, inhabiting the African continent south of the Sahara Desert. Its population has drastically declined due to habitat destruction from agricultural and wetland development, competition for water resources, and poaching for meat and tusks. It is classified as Vulnerable (VU) on the IUCN Red List and is an endangered species.\
* Biomass plastic is used for the main resin parts of the case, bezel, and band. By utilizing renewable organic resources as raw materials, it is expected to contribute to reducing environmental impact.\
