At its peak, the first generation 1000 series comprised over half of Keikyu's rolling stock. With a total of 356 cars, it defined an era for Keikyu. Formations could be composed in 2-car units, and they also served in the longest formations on private railways, up to 12 cars. Broadly speaking, this 1000 Series consists of the early type, which debuted without air conditioning, and the later type, which was equipped with centralized air conditioning units from the time of completion. This model reproduces the appearance after the later type's refurbishment work conducted from 1988 onwards, which included removing the roof ventilation openings and blackening the destination display panels. \
