The soft texture and gentle expressions of Polepole animals bring moments of soothing comfort to your daily life. ・T-Lab's wooden animal sculptures are entirely handmade by numerous artisans in Bali, Indonesia. First, square blocks of wood are roughly cut from flat surfaces and roughly shaped, then dried over time. Afterward, the shapes are finished solely by sanding. Achieving identical forms requires considerable skill. Once shaped, each piece is hand-painted and finished individually. ・The wood used is a southern species of white wood, scientifically named Albizia falcata. In Japan, it is also known as “Nanyo-kiri” (South Sea Paulownia). This tree grows exceptionally fast.
