IKI: Tales of Edo Craftsmen is a board game set in the streets of Edo. Hire craftsmen and merchants to live in your tenement, earn points called “iki points,” and aim to become the most “stylish” Edo native.
The craftsmen appearing in the game include many unusual ones, such as “Boiled Egg Seller” and “Shiratama Seller,” among many other unique ones. True to the saying “Fires and quarrels are the flowers of Edo,” handling fires is also crucial in this game.
First unveiled at Game Market in 2014, it later achieved a successful Kickstarter campaign in the US.
A French edition was released in 2021, and the game was nominated for the 2022 French Game of the Year Award and the 2023 German Game of the Year Award in the Advanced Game category.
