Since the family showed no visible injuries, the death was ruled a double suicide by gas. However, the disappearance of a family jewel and other mysteries remain. 15 years later, permission to visit the mansion is finally granted, and six men and women visit. The sole surviving daughter of the murders, a psychic, a graduate student and writer interested in the case, and two ambitious detectives—each with their own hidden agenda—gather together, only to be suddenly trapped inside the mansion by a mysterious force. The bewildered participants are approached by a spirit residing in the mansion, commanding them to solve the mystery of the incident 15 years ago if they wish to be freed. Shortly thereafter, the mansion's caretaker is found dead. Two detectives battle it out in a house of the dead. They can cooperate or outwit their opponents by concealing information. The other participants decide who will be the greatest detective.
