Product Description
VIC Hobby “Zero Fighter (Nakajima) Color Set” is a model paint set.
Each set contains 4 colors: “Zero Fighter Cockpit Color (Mitsubishi/Nakajima Common)”, “Imperial Japanese Navy Dark Green (Nakajima Series)”, “Imperial Japanese Navy J3 Gray”, “Nakajima Zero Cowling Color”.
Each color contains: 16ml
Based on the latest research on Zero painting, the J3 Gray underside color has been added as a new color. The dark green and cowling colors also reproduce differences by manufacturer, and the cockpit color has been updated to the manufacturer-common color based on new research. This set contains a total of 4 colors for Zero fighters produced by different manufacturers. SP035: Zero Fighter Cockpit Color (Common to Mitsubishi and Nakajima) This is a common interior color for Navy aircraft and was also used in Zero fighters. Previously, it was believed that there was a difference in the interior color between Mitsubishi and Nakajima Zero fighters, but this product reproduces a green color based on new research indicating that the color was common to both.
SP041: Imperial Japanese Navy Dark Green (Nakajima Type)
This is the green color painted on the upper surfaces of aircraft from the late production Nakajima Type 21 to the Type 62. It is said to have been a bluish color compared to the Mitsubishi green, and this product also aims to reproduce that color.
SP047: Imperial Japanese Navy J3 Gray
This color was applied to the entire fuselage of early production Nakajima Type 21 Zero fighters and to the underside of late production Type 21 and Type 62 fighters. This product reproduces the gray color as it appeared fresh from the factory, before fading due to sunlight and other factors.
SP049: Nakajima Zero Cowling Color
This color was applied to the cowlings of Nakajima-built models from the Model 21 through the Model 62.
Although the paint was prone to fading, this product recreates the semi-gloss black finish as it appeared fresh from the factory. Features of VIC Color ・Both paint and primer are odorless. ・Self-leveling properties minimize brush streaks. ・Brushes and tools can be cleaned with tap water; dedicated thinner is usually unnecessary. ・Does not clog fine 0.18mm airbrushes; airbrush cleaning is also possible with tap water. ・※When using an airbrush, dilution with thinner is recommended. Thinner has an alcohol odor. Tips for Use ・For both brush and airbrush application, applying primer before painting is recommended. This prevents paint beading and strengthens the painted surface. ・All paints have a very slight sheen. Use VIC's semi-gloss reducer or gloss reducer for the final coat to adjust the gloss level.
