VERYFIRE “1/350 Japan Battleship Yamato Operation Ten-Go Standard Edition” Plastic Model. \
Yamato was the lead ship of the Yamato-class battleships built for the Imperial Japanese Navy. Alongside the second ship, Musashi, it was the largest battleship ever built and the only super-dreadnought equipped with 46 cm guns.\
Commissioned in December 1941, shortly after the start of the Pacific War, Yamato became the flagship of the Combined Fleet in February 1942. \
Her first engagement was the Battle of Midway in June 1942. She participated in Operation Kon and the Battle of the Philippine Sea in June 1944, and during Operation Shō-1 in October of the same year, she fired her 46cm main guns against an American escort carrier task force.\
In April 1945, she sailed toward Okinawa during Operation Ten-Go but was sunk by American air attacks. \
