Standard inner cables are constructed by twisting together 19 strands. This product, however, is made from 31 strands.
This results in greater suppleness and flexibility compared to conventional products. This makes installation easier in tight handlebar routing situations like today's designs. It also results in lighter handlebar operation.
Feature 2: Durability (Longer Life)
Compared to conventional products, it is twisted at a higher density, reducing the gaps between strands. This minimizes the inner cable's elongation rate. It also excels in load-bearing capacity. (The inner cable's tensile strength itself is also increased by approximately 10%.) It also requires less readjustment after installation. It is pre-tensioned (a process where force is applied beforehand to suppress initial stretch and minimize post-installation elongation). Feature 3: Low Friction (Light Pull) The cable surface undergoes a slick finish to achieve near-perfect roundness, followed by a special coating (electroplated coating). This results in lower friction than simple slick processing or PTFE (Teflon) coating.
The coating is also highly resistant to peeling, ensuring long-lasting smooth operation.
