Kotobukiya - Bulkarm β - Approximately 165mm tall, 24 scale. Product Description: The Bulkarm β is a second-generation Hexa Gear that incorporates improvements to the "α Type," a highly acclaimed machine that had been criticized for its flaws during combat. Like the "α Type," it was developed and manufactured by the military-industrial complex MSG. The unit's distinctive features are primarily in its legs, which feature mobility assist devices that significantly improve its cruising speed compared to the "α Type." This is an improvement over the Bulkarm series, particularly the "α Type," which sacrificed mobility due to its durable armor, making it difficult to coordinate with other land-based weapons such as combat vehicles. To coincide with this speed improvement, the head has also been redesigned from the "α Type" to incorporate a more versatile, mobile-focused model equipped with sensors suited for mid- to close-range combat. The standard model, which is the state it is in immediately after shipping from the manufacturer, is equipped with only the bare minimum of a submachine gun and heat knife, again reflecting the concept of speed. Another difference from the Alpha model is the expanded range of motion of the arm's working limb frame, which allows for greater freedom of movement and a wider range of close-combat tactics. The tips of the working limbs continue to feature iron fists, as in the Alpha model, and melee attacks using these are equally powerful. Accelerating and striking with the hover unit is particularly known as a useful assault tactic. Governors customize their units from the moment they are deployed to suit their respective missions, terrain, and battle situations, so few units deploy with the standard configuration described above. Some add firearms captured from the enemy, while others take to the battlefield equipped with armored units and large swords for close combat. Many of the weapons distributed by MSG, the developer, were used to strengthen this unit, leading to the creation of countless custom units, as any Governor who has been on the battlefield knows. Governors who favored the Beta model, with its enhanced mobility, often used light to medium-weight armaments to maximize the unit's inherent characteristics, sometimes even reducing its armor. However, due to various factors such as the ever-changing battle situation and individual financial circumstances (and perhaps personal preferences), "operation methods that deviate from the unit's concept" are common on the battlefield. Examples of successful deployments that could be considered counterproductive include the removal of leg units entirely and replacing them with "crawler units" with higher load-carrying capabilities, due to the excessive weight resulting from the installation of large area suppression weapons to provide fire support for the unit. ■ The visor protecting the head sensors is movable. The closed-type cockpit can be opened and closed, allowing for the seating of a separately sold governor. *Due to geometric limitations, some parts may need to be removed. The wrist frames, like those on the "Bulkarm β Lumberjack," feature universal joints, allowing for a greater range of motion than the "Bulkarm α," allowing for a wide range of posing. The hover units attached to the ankles are detachable, and by using the included parts, they can be reassembled as a governor hovercraft. The "fan" at the bottom of the hover unit and the "rudder" at the rear are also movable. The machine gun's magazine is detachable, and even the ammunition is accurately reproduced. The magazine can be attached to either the left or right side. The heat knife has a HEXA-G-R.A.M. loading hole, and can be attached to the 3mm hard points on the main body using the included HEXA-G-R.A.M. PC and 3mm joints. Optional Bull Armor parts can be attached to the legs to create a heavily armored version.


■The body is molded in the same desert color as the Hexa Gear Booster Pack 003 (Desert Buggy) and MSG Gigantic Arms Wild Crawler, making it easy to combine even unpainted.
*The clear parts used for the sensor on the abdomen of the Bulkarm β body are colorless clear molded parts.
