Reproduces a DD51 8th batch locomotive assigned to Kushiro Depot around 1980.
Features the characteristic matte finish of Kushiro Depot locomotives.
Cold-weather equipment like rotating windows and whistle covers, along with tablet catchers and protective railings, are reproduced.
Features of the early type are reproduced: double-opening front inspection doors, intermediate bogies without brake equipment, and 4,500-liter fuel tanks.
H-shaped rubber seals on each window and the bonnet joint rubber are depicted in gray.
Headlights illuminate (using warm white LEDs).
Arnold couplers are standard equipment, with replacement knuckle couplers included.
Selectable number plates: “527”, “528”, ‘529’, “530” Manufacturer's plate: “Mitsubishi” pre-printed. Using Hobby Center Kato's “28-260-1 DD51 Power Truck (No Tires)” allows for smoother operation during double-unit operation.
