Tamiya - Electric RC Car Series - No. 697 - TD2 Chassis - 58697 Product Introduction This is an assembly kit for an electric radio-controlled car that inherits the name of the Astute, a mid-class rear-wheel-drive buggy introduced in 1989. The sleek, low-slung body was designed by Taka Nezu of znug design. The cockpit features a driver figure, and small front and rear fenders are also characteristic. Two types of rear wing stays are included (high/low) to allow downforce settings. The chassis employs a monocoque frame with a mid-ship mounted motor. The heavy running battery is mounted horizontally at the rear to ensure rear tire traction. Rib pattern tires are fitted at the front, and square spike tires at the rear. This is an evolved form of the 2WD buggy, designed to pursue the joy of nimble driving and achieve easy-to-handle, controllable handling. Includes: 540-type motor, RC mechanism: 2-channel transmitter set, running battery, charger, transmitter power supply. *A power source is required to operate this product; batteries, cells, chargers, etc., are not included.
