This model captures the F-35B, the most ambitious variant in the F-35 series: a short takeoff/vertical landing stealth fighter.
Faithfully Reproduces 3 Operational Configurations
Accurately recreates three distinct operational states: “Parked,” “Short Takeoff” (preparing to launch from flight decks or short runways), and “Vertical Landing” (hovering and landing vertically).
Choose one configuration to assemble from the three options.
Includes a display stand to recreate the Vertical Landing state.
Includes markings for 3 nations, 7 variants
Features 7 types of slide-applied decals: 4 for the US Marine Corps, 1 for the Royal Air Force, and 2 for the Italian Navy/Air Force.
The internal weapons bay, featuring detailed piping and wiring for a realistic look, is shorter overall than the F-35A's and is modeled entirely with new parts. Doors feature an open/closed selection system. The weapons bay can accommodate GBU-32 GPS-guided bombs and AIM-120C missiles. All doors are split into separate parts to allow selection of open/closed states, faithfully reproducing three distinct configurations as seen on the actual aircraft.
The distinctive rotating engine duct nozzles are reproduced with sharp shapes and precise details.
Three nozzle angle parts are included: 0° (parking position), 30° (short takeoff position), and 84° (vertical landing position).
