Product Description
This is a construction set for a swimming robot that uses an underwater gearbox to swim.
The rotational motion of the underwater gearbox is converted into reciprocating motion via a crank arm, moving the legs up and down to swim.
Furthermore, the rotational motion is directly transmitted via rubber bands to rotate the arms as well. By changing the positions of the arms and legs and the head's up/down angle, you can enjoy three different swimming styles. A styrofoam float is set inside the doll's torso. The legs are made of 0.3mm thick soft resin, providing just the right amount of flex to generate forward propulsion. Assembly is easy using screws and snap-fit connections. Total length = 170mm.
Body material: ABS resin with internal styrofoam float.
Feet: 0.3mm thick soft resin.
Includes underwater motor and underwater gearbox.
Uses one AA battery (sold separately). Swim time: 90 minutes using alkaline batteries.
