This is a plastic model assembly kit of the Japanese heavy cruiser Suzuyo.
1/700 scale, overall length 286.5mm, overall width 35.3mm. Models the ship immediately after its conversion to a heavy cruiser. Faithfully recreates Suzuyo's unique style, including its hull cross-section (different from Mogami and Mikuma), bridge structure, and guided funnels. The substantial hull is split left and right, with the sides finished for a three-dimensional look. Poly caps are used for mounting the main turrets, allowing rotation even after assembly. Weapons like the 12 7cm high-angle guns and torpedo tubes, the main mast, aircraft cranes, and even the aircraft themselves are sharply detailed.
