The second colorway of the all-new 1/24 scale snap-fit car model “Suzuki Jimny JB23” is here.
This product is a kit requiring assembly. Scale: 1/24. No painting required: Each part is colored in its molded color, achieving a glossy texture unattainable through painting. No glue required: Designed for easy assembly by snapping parts together.
The JB23 is the third generation of the Jimny. Since the debut of the first model in 1998, this off-road four-wheel drive vehicle was sold for 20 years, spanning up to the tenth model. While its styling shifted from the previous generation's boxy, straight-line design to a more rounded form, it retained key mechanical features like the ladder frame and rigid axle suspension. This ensured high off-road capability while also improving on-road drivability. The product is modeled after the final minor-change 10th generation model.
The product is based on the Land Venture special edition model from the JB23 series 10th generation, launched in 2014.
It features the later-model thicker hood and includes the LV's signature side garnish and rear tire cover.
The 1/24 scale allows for precise reproduction of intricate details.
The body uses specialized molded material to achieve a gloss level difficult to replicate with paint alone.
The molded colors consist of eight types: Gloss Black, Black, Silver, Gloss Silver, Clear Smoke, Clear, Clear Red, and Clear Orange.
Even with straight assembly, the colored parts create a painted look. For painting, the part divisions significantly reduce masking work.
The body uses a slide molded box shape, reproducing the slightly rounded sides.
The front, rear, and roof sections use the standard Car NEXT series construction, layered and snapped into the body parts.
The thicker bonnet and front sides (9th/10th generation) are provided as separate parts.
The bonnet intake is reproduced with depth, as a separate part.
The front grille features a two-layer structure to recreate depth, with the radiator shaped to fit within.
The underbody features a ladder frame as a separate part, with auxiliary components attached. Leading arms, trailing arms, front and rear differential gear cases, and driveshafts are modeled as separate parts.
The headlight lenses feature delicate sculpting matching the real car's design.
The headlight unit reproduces the main light bulb and parking light bulb with intricate sculpting, creating a three-dimensional effect behind the lens.
