As the culmination of large-ship construction technology from the Kongo-class to the Nagato-class, the lead ship of the Yamato-class battleships, the Yamato, was completed in December 1941. \
With a standard displacement of 64,000 tons and armed with 46cm main guns, she was the world's largest battleship in every respect. Fully prepared, she became the flagship of the Combined Fleet and sailed as the flagship carrying Combined Fleet Commander-in-Chief Isoroku Yamamoto during the Battle of Midway. \
As aircraft became the dominant force in warfare, Yamato underwent modifications including the removal of some secondary guns and the reinforcement of anti-aircraft armament. She participated in Operation Shō-1 (the Battle of Leyte Gulf) in October 1944. In April 1945, she was dispatched to repel the American forces landing on Okinawa, but met her end under attack by numerous American carrier-based aircraft. \
This product is modeled after the ship during Operation Ten-Go (Okinawa Special Attack Operation) in April 1945. \
The hull/bottom parts are separated at the waterline, allowing construction as either a surface model or a full-hull model.\
To express the shape differences from the product's launch or 1944 state, dedicated parts are used for these sections.\
No painting required: Each part is colored in its molded color, with some areas using decals to express coloring. \
No glue required: Parts are designed for easy snap-fit assembly.\
The wooden deck sections include dedicated parts molded in a special dark gray color, replacing the traditional wood tone.\
The screw propellers include molded parts in realistic gold, replacing the previous beige color. \
Etched parts include handrails, ladders, crane, funnel surround, Type 13 radar, Type 21 radar, direction finder, watertight doors, and imperial crest.\
The hull is split left-right at the waterline. Molded in a dedicated gray color simulating the warship gray used at Kure Naval Arsenal. \
Portholes are specially molded to depict the numerous sealed openings, with unsealed ones as recessed carvings and sealed ones as raised carvings for a sharp, detailed reproduction.\
The external electrical cables attached to the sides are faithfully rendered down to their fastening points.\
The hull bottom utilizes a slide mold to form a single-piece part, This eliminates the need for seam processing.\
The bulbous bow is realistically reproduced with a three-dimensional form.\
The rudder is modeled in a distinct angular shape, differing from the third ship, Shinano. The rudder surface features the seams of steel plates, exuding precision.\
The main guns are capable of elevation and traverse. Achieves both minimal parts count and realistic modeling.\
The 46cm main gun barrels are molded open using slide molding.\
Dedicated parts are provided for both the main gun turret roof and the machine gun mounts to reproduce the added mounts on the 2nd and 3rd main gun turrets.\
The secondary guns can traverse, with the gun barrel and turret formed as a single piece. \
The bridge employs division and slide molds to minimize visible part seams, integrating components.\
The Type 22 radar units on both sides of the bridge are specialized parts reproducing their relocated appearance.\
The 15-meter rangefinder and azimuth compass are designed for rotation. \
Special parts represent the added crew waiting area behind the bridge and the expanded signal station deck.\
The funnels are a left-right combination type, featuring integrated representations down to the steam exhaust pipes, whistle pipes, and monkey ladders. \
The top cap section (lattice) is open, creating a highly realistic, three-dimensional appearance.\
