Agricola - Family Edition - Board Game
Since its release in Germany in the fall of 2007, Agricola has swept up game awards worldwide, captivating gamers across the globe, and has now become the new standard for board games. This product is a family-friendly adaptation of that very Agricola. Players become settlers farming the land, gathering resources to build houses, grow their families, cultivate fields for harvests, establish pastures for livestock, and enrich their farms. In this game, each player builds their own farm. At the start, the farm consists only of a small wooden house with two rooms, home to a family (a farmer and his wife). Adding rooms allows you to expand your family. The larger your farm family, the more actions you can take. However, when harvest time comes, you must feed your family. To do this, you must cultivate crops and raise livestock to gather sufficient food. Progress tiles are useful for this, but be careful as their number is limited. After 14 rounds, the player who has developed their farm most successfully and scored the highest points wins.
This “Family Edition” retains the core systems of the original Agricola,
but removes progress and profession cards. Instead, it uses tiles and a dedicated game board for faster gameplay.
With sculpted wooden resource tokens, animal tokens, and family tokens, it's a visually appealing game.
*This product is not an expansion for Agricola: Revised Edition. It can be played standalone.
