“Coal Mine Anthem: Card Game” is a standalone card game derived from the popular board game “Gluck Auf/Coal Mine Anthem”.
(This is not an expansion set for the board game “Gluck Auf/Coal Mine Anthem”.)
With innovative ideas and over 200 cards, this game is just as addictive as “Coal Mine Anthem”,
yet it creates a distinctly different gameplay experience.
The setting is the late 19th century, in the heart of Germany's Ruhr industrial region Use mine carts to extract coal from the shafts and load it onto freight cars. However, you can only transport coal and earn victory points if you connect a locomotive to your freight cars and fulfill orders. You must assign workers to tasks and maximize the use of limited loading areas, requiring skillful management.
At the end of the game, the player who fulfilled the most profitable orders and acquired lucrative shares and objectives wins.
*The game's setting, the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex, was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2001.
