Race for the Galaxy, the sci-fi card game set in the vast cosmos, arrives in a revised edition with balanced adjustments.
Players each control an interstellar nation with unique abilities, building their empire by utilizing actions: “Explore” to draw cards, “Develop” to advance society and infrastructure, “Settle” to claim other star systems, ‘Consume’ to trade goods, and “Produce” to generate resources.
The action chosen is performed by all players.
However, each player receives a bonus for the action they selected.
You might wait for another player to choose an action that offers no bonus, or avoid selecting an action that benefits other players.
Furthermore, the abilities of the “Worlds” and “Developments” you own differ, influencing which actions you should choose.
To win, you must plan the best path to victory for your initial “World,” discern other players' intentions, and choose the optimal action for yourself.
Can you expand your reach into new worlds ahead of rival interstellar nations, develop various technologies and systems, and make your interstellar nation the most prosperous? \ n
Race for the Galaxy: Second Edition introduces several changes from the first edition: six new starting worlds have been added, five cards have been revised primarily for cost balance, and a turn progression booklet has been included to make the game more accessible for new players. Additionally, the icons have been redesigned to be color-diversity friendly.
