Hobby Japan - Japanese Edition - For 3-8 Players - Ages 8+ - Board Game
Mojo is a party card game with simple rules, playable by up to 8 players, featuring dynamic gameplay driven by Mojo Time.
In ‘Mojo’, players are dealt 8 cards. The game starts with one card from the deck placed in the discard pile.
Players can play any number card from their hand, but the result depends on the top card of the discard pile.
If the played card's number is lower than the discard pile card, nothing happens.
If higher, draw one card from the deck.
If the values match, players can play additional cards of the same number consecutively from their hand to reduce their hand size further.
The game progresses as players play cards or draw, and when any player has 3 or fewer cards left in their hand, the endgame phase, “Mojo Time,” begins. When “Mojo Time” occurs, the game nears its end. Players with 3 or fewer cards in hand no longer play cards. They place their hand face-down in front of them and reveal one card per turn.
The game ends when a player reveals their last card, and scoring begins.
Each player's remaining hand cards and the numbers on their revealed cards become penalty points.
However, duplicate numbers count as a single point, and duplicate colors count only the highest number.
This makes deciding which cards to play from your hand during the final three turns a real dilemma.
The player with the fewest penalty points wins when someone reaches 50 points.
