Hobby Japan - Discard - For 2-6 Players - Ages 8+ - Board Game
Discard is a card game where you discard and draw cards to collect various cat-themed cards.
In Discard, players take turns discarding cards from their hand to collect as many cards as possible in their discard pile. Cards feature numbers (and cats) and can be discarded individually or in groups. Groups can be formed with cards sharing the same tens or ones digit. Discarding a group of four cards earns bonus points. Manage your hand skillfully to efficiently collect points. However, when discarding cards, you must follow the “restriction” set by the previous player's discarded card. Cards feature either an upward or downward arrow, meaning you can only discard cards with a number greater than or less than that arrow's direction. Be careful not to keep only cards close in value in your hand, as this may break the restriction and grant the discarder a bonus. After discarding a card, draw cards from the deck until your hand reaches the specified number, then your turn ends.
Players take turns this way. When the deck runs out and one player has no cards left, the remaining players take one final turn each to end the game.
Sum the points from the discard pile and any bonuses. The player with the most points wins.
Additionally, discarding a group of 5 cards wins the game immediately.
