HobbyJAPAN - Refuge - Ages 8+ - Board Game Refuge is a bag-building and chicken race board game where players head out into the wilds to enjoy hiking. Players venture into nature, utilizing various tools to see animals and landmarks, aiming to make their hike fun and fulfilling. \

At the start of each turn, all players simultaneously draw two tiles from their bag and reveal them, then use one of them.\
Tiles feature “Items” that provide useful hiking effects, or ‘Animals’ and “Landmarks” that grant victory points. After use, the tile is placed in front of the player, forming the path taken during the hike. \
Afterwards, you can pay “Steps” earned from items to add new tiles to your bag.\
However, some tiles are “Storms”—drawing them forces them onto the board, and if enough accumulate among all players, the hike ends.\
If a storm occurs and you lack sufficient Steps, you lose victory points. If you sense danger, reveal a Mountain Hut token from your bag instead of drawing a tile to turn back. \
However, if you become the only one hiking, the weather may stabilize, allowing you to see more animals and sights. \
Look around and carefully decide whether to turn back or press on.\
The game ends after the fifth hike. The player with the most victory points at that point wins.\
