Pit Road-144-Leopard 2-Plastic Model-SGK17
The Leopard 2, representing the main battle tank of the modern German Army, entered service in 1979, replacing the Leopard 1. Its main armament was upgraded from the previous 105mm gun to a powerful 120mm smoothbore gun. Additionally, while the turret front was vertical and angular on the initial production A4 models, wedge-shaped additional armor was fitted starting with the A5.
The Leopard 2A7+ is a modernized variant of the A6M with enhanced armor for improved mine protection, featuring modular armor on the hull sides.
It also mounts a Remote Weapon Station (RWS) on the turret roof, enabling remote operation of weapons like the 12.7mm machine gun from inside the vehicle.
