Designed with handheld portrait photography in mind, the “AF 135mm F1.8 FE” is lighter (approx. 772g) than typical 135mm telephoto lenses for Sony E-mount. \
Despite its light weight, the optical design incorporates special glass in 6 of the 13 elements, enabling excellent resolution and effective suppression of various aberrations. Three Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass elements correct chromatic aberration and color fringing, delivering sharp resolution performance. Furthermore, the inclusion of two high-refractive-index (HR) glass elements and an ultra-precision aspherical (U-ASP) lens achieves even more vivid sharpness and contrast from the center to the edges of the frame.\
