FineMolds 1/72 Jet Aircraft Series Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-15J Fighter J-MSIP (Includes Pilot) Plastic Model Kit FF02
Following modernization upgrades after 2004, the F-15J gained the capability to operate the domestically produced AAM-5 air-to-air missile (Type 04 Guided Air-to-Air Missile). To launch this missile, which can track targets over a wide area, the pilot wears a targeting device called a Cueing System, specifically an HMD (Head-Mounted Display) attached to their helmet.
This kit includes a newly molded JASDF pilot figure wearing the HMD on the latest HGU-68 helmet.
The figure also includes a head part combining the FHG-2 helmet and MO15 mask, allowing you to recreate earlier F-15 pilots as well.
Mold design and manufacturing are by Tamiya, while molding is performed using the same production machines used for FineMolds' Nano Aviation series.
