Product Description
Fine Molds 1/72 Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-15J Fighter Hot Scramble 1984 Early Specification Plastic Model FP50
Developed as the successor to the F-4 as a large air superiority fighter, the F-15 first flew in the United States in 1972 and became the representative fighter of the U.S. Air Force for half a century during the Cold War.
The F-15J, domestically produced under license as the main fighter for Japan's Air Self-Defense Force, entered service in December 1981.
From July 1984, it primarily performed alert duties against unidentified aircraft violating airspace, executing numerous high-priority “hot scrambles” amid heightened tensions of the East-West Cold War.
Following the F-4EJ and F-2A/B, Fine Molds designed this new JASDF jet fighter kit to further enhance the enjoyment of design and assembly. It reproduces the shape and details through thorough research of the actual aircraft. Holding this kit will surely reveal new discoveries about the aircraft's form.
This kit also recreates the “iris covers” installed on early-deployment aircraft to protect the engine's variable nozzles and enhance airflow.
Decals reproduce the markings of the 202nd Squadron (Shin-Tadahara Air Base, Miyazaki Prefecture) and the 203rd Squadron (Chitose Air Base, Hokkaido).
※This product is a plastic model kit requiring assembly and painting.
※Additional items such as adhesive, tools, and paint are required for assembly and painting.
※“Plastic Model” is a registered trademark owned by the Japan Plastic Model Manufacturers Association.
※This product does not include adhesive, paint, tools, batteries, etc.
