A quick yet intense drafting game.
It's a revamped version of ‘Age of Will’, winner of the ‘Arclight Game Award 2023’ Excellence Prize.
In ‘Gift Craft’, players collect resource cards to create one favorite ‘NuiMon’ and compete for points.
The key to victory lies in choosing which of the initial six NuiMon laid out to create.
The core mechanic is the “draft” system: choose one card from the hand dealt to you and pass the rest to the next player.
Repeat this six times to gather material cards, then select the NuiMon card you wish to create to end the game.
Playtime is short at 10-20 minutes, yet the continuous stream of crucial choices ensures an intensely satisfying experience.
After finishing, you'll definitely want to shout “One more round.” and play again.
The illustrations are by Otto, who won the Art Award at the Golden Box Board Game Awards 2023 for ‘Givtre’.
