Little Armory -STUDY1942-LA086-Type 38 Infantry Rifle-Plastic Model Kit
Little Armory is a 1/12 scale assembly kit that combines realism with compatibility for articulated figures.
This bolt-action rifle served as Japan's standard-issue rifle for 40 years, from Meiji 38 (1905) after the Russo-Japanese War until the end of World War II. Overall length: 1276mm (1670mm with bayonet attached). Fires 6.5×50mm cartridges. Developed by Nanbu Kijirō, a subordinate of Arisaka Seishō. Based on its predecessor, the Type 30 rifle, it incorporated improvements derived from combat experience, including simplification of the bolt mechanism, added safety features, and the inclusion of a dust cover for protection against sand and dust.
This firearm earned high praise from opposing U.S. forces, and many were transferred to the United States after the war, where they became known as the Arisaka Type 38.
This product is a precise model of the Type 38 rifle, developed through research at the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Weapons School.
The bolt parts can be selected from 6 types, differing by configuration and the presence/absence of the dust cover.
The included Type 30 bayonet is detachable.
The rear sight is a folding type.
Two molded colors are used: brown and black.
