The veteran 2430 Series, active on Kintetsu's Osaka and Nagoya Lines, makes its appearance.
Kintetsu Railway is known as Japan's largest private railway, operating an extensive network spanning from the Kansai region to the Chukyo area.
The 2430 Series is a commuter train introduced in 1971. It adopted the same body structure as the 2410 Series but debuted as a 3-car formation.
Later, through formation reorganization, 2-car, 3-car, and 4-car formations appeared. After undergoing body refurbishment and repainting, they remain in active service today.
Additionally, some formations on the Kintetsu Nagoya Line system underwent modifications to enable one-man operation.
This series primarily operates as standalone formations on the Kintetsu Osaka Line and Kintetsu Nagoya Line. They are also coupled with other formations to run various express services, including Rapid Express trains.
By using a separately sold power unit and N gauge running parts, it can be operated as an N gauge model train.
The recommended power unit is TM-14 (20m class A2), the running parts set is TT-04R, and the pantograph is PG16 [0238].
