Nekoichi's “Catch Me If You Can 2” is an extremely popular electric toy. Once used, we receive many comments like “My cat is so engrossed in playing, it's surprising.” and “I can't put it down.” It requires 4 AA batteries (genuine Japanese-made batteries recommended, sold separately).
It offers four speed patterns: slow-moving “Beginner Mode,” moderately fast “Intermediate Mode,” very fast “Advanced Mode,” and “Auto Mode” which randomly cycles through Beginner to Advanced. Choose based on your cat's personality and familiarity with toys. Note that faster speeds produce louder operation sounds, so we recommend starting with Beginner Mode for skittish cats.
Product redesigned in Fall 2019. To prolong the internal motor's lifespan, the cycle now operates for 30 minutes followed by a 15-minute rest period. This rest time allows for longer overall usage. The timer was extended from 30 minutes to 3 hours (4 sets of 30 minutes on & 15 minutes off), increasing the time cats can play intensely.
Startup has also been redesigned to require a “2-second long press” to turn on. This eliminates worries about the cat stepping on the switch and turning it off while playing, or accidentally turning it on. Holding the switch for 4 seconds or longer allows you to set the timer.
Catch Me If You Can 2 comes with one “feather stick” and one “string stick”. Replacement sticks for each type are available for purchase. Please be extremely careful to prevent accidental ingestion of the sticks.
