Rear Derailleur Spring Outer Casing Set (Stainless Steel) Product Description
We have reproduced the spring outer casing originally produced by Italy's Campagnolo in the 1960s-1970s. The coil is made of stainless steel with uniform wire thickness and wound in the same direction as the original. Unlike standard spring outer casings, Campagnolo's product features reverse winding direction. This was likely done to differentiate it from competitors. A dedicated inner liner is included to reduce resistance on the inner cable. One end features a flanged finish (flared opening) to prevent slippage. The included stepped receiver bracket and outer cap are also machined from brass based on Campagnolo's original drawings, nickel-plated for rust prevention. The outer cap features the characteristic tapered finish typical of Campagnolo outer caps.
