Fully renewed to capture the peak-era appearance of this train, which served as an express around 1975.\

Accurately recreates the round base detection antenna mounted on the roof of the leading car.\
Body features passenger doors with steps, and precisely recreates the roof wiring characteristic of AC/DC electric trains.\

Beautifully expresses the standard JNR-era express-type AC/DC electric train livery: body in Red No. 13 (azuki bean red) + Cream No. 4 band.\
Smooth and quiet running achieved through the use of a slotless motor. Features snap-on bogies.\
Both leading and intermediate cars are equipped with body-mounted close-coupling couplers (hookless) for new-performance trains.\
Additionally, separate body mounts can be installed as desired.\
