KATO-KATO-923 Series 3000 Subseries-Doctor Yellow-10-896S
Based on JR West's 3000 Subseries T5 formation, accurately capturing and reproducing details distinct from JR Central's T4 formation (presence/absence of car 7 antenna, jack-up holes, roof color, etc.).
Reproduces the observation dome and inspection equipment on the roof, unique to test vehicles, positioned throughout the body.
Reproduces the “inspection floodlights” installed near the pantographs on cars 2 and 6 with an illuminated design.
Beautifully expresses the distinctive yellow body paint.
The headlights/tail lights on the leading car, differing from the standard 700 series, feature two-tone headlights with distinct color tones.
The coupling section employs easy-to-handle diaphragm couplers (KATO Diaphragm Couplers), similar to those on the E5 series “Hayabusa,” with a restoration function.
Side windows are depicted with roll curtains drawn to replicate the appearance during actual inspection runs.
Smooth and quiet running performance achieved through the use of a slotless motor.
The 3-car basic set comes in a paper box, while the 4-car extension set uses a 7-car book-type case that can also hold the 3-car basic set.
