Description
live-アイリブ-Japanese Pattern Bar Tape-WAGARA-2-Pack
Ilive's new Japanese pattern series. Features designs inspired by traditional Japanese motifs.
Perfect for customization, or choose based on the meaning each pattern holds.
Each motif carries its own significance, making the meaning behind the pattern another key selection point.
■Arrow Feather: A representative auspicious pattern, like the “Hama-ya” (luck-bringing arrow).
■Dragonfly: As depicted on the helmets of Sengoku warlords, it symbolizes “advancing only, never retreating,” earning it the name “victory insect”.
■Cherry Blossom: The cherry blossom pattern symbolizes a bountiful harvest.
■Arabesque: The pattern of long, flowing vines signifies prosperity and longevity.
■Bishamon Kikkō: Bishamonten, one of the Seven Lucky Gods, is the god of victory and certain triumph. This pattern combines his symbol with the tortoise shell pattern, representing the protective deity of the Buddha, said to bring fortune and wealth.
■Kumadori: A unique Kabuki makeup technique. It was developed to make actors' expressions visible to distant audience members in theaters. The first kumadori was created by Ichikawa Danjuro I, who drew inspiration from puppets and painted it with red and black ink.
■Seigaiha: This pattern originated in ancient Persia and reached Japan via the Silk Road during the Asuka period. It was used as a design on the costumes of dancers performing the ‘Seigaiha’ kagura ritual, and the name ‘Seigaiha’ is said to derive from this kagura. The pattern of infinitely spreading waves also embodies people's wishes for eternal peace and prosperity.
■Yoshiwara Tsunagi: A continuous chain pattern. Its name is said to allude to the idea that once you entered the Yoshiwara pleasure quarter, you were bound and rarely freed. It is still used today on festival happi coats, tenugui towels, and yukata.
■Yozakura (Night Cherry Blossoms): The cherry blossom pattern symbolizes abundant harvests. It also carries auspicious meanings of prosperity and new beginnings. We represented night cherry blossoms by changing the base tape color.
Includes 2 finish tapes and 2 end caps.
