The battleship Fusō was the lead ship of the Fusō-class, the second class of battleships possessed by the Imperial Japanese Navy after the Kongō-class, and was completed in 1915.\
Both its displacement and main armament were among the largest in the world at the time. After undergoing two modernizations, it entered the Pacific War. Its distinctive appearance, featuring an unbalanced bridge structure, the mounting of surface reconnaissance aircraft and radar to cope with modern warfare, is eye-catching. \
In October 1944, during the final stages of the war, she participated in Operation Shō-1 to defend the Philippines. She made a daring nighttime assault into Surigao Strait, engaged in a gun battle with the U.S. surface fleet, and was sunk.\
