Description
Fujimi Models - Kan NEXT Series No.18 - Imperial Japanese Navy Light Cruiser - 1944 - Operation Shō-1
Product Introduction
Protect the decoy Zuikaku.. The long-awaited 5,500-ton light cruiser arrives in 2020 with a completely new mold and the definitive version realized with the latest technology.
▪️The product depicts the ship's final appearance during Operation Shō-1 in October 1944
・The catapult was removed and replaced with additional machine guns, while the No. 7 14cm main gun was replaced with a twin 12.7cm high-angle gun.
・Accurately recreates the horizontally laid linoleum deck, distinct from the Kuma's design.
**Bow
Accurately captures the subtle curvature near the bow fairleader. Reflects the design with a 66cm bow sheer (height).
**Main Guns
The 14cm main guns are shaped including the breech (inside the shield). A slide mold is used, and the muzzle is open. Only the No. 1-4 main guns feature shields with wave deflectors, using dedicated parts to differentiate them from the No. 5-6 main guns. The No. 2 main gun includes two types of parts: one facing backward for positioning, and one facing forward with the barrel elevated as a countermeasure against waves. **Bridge
The armor plates covering the compass bridge are meticulously detailed, including shape, rivets, and mounting angles. **Central Section
Type 500-ton light cruisers featured two types of linoleum deck layouts: longitudinal and transverse. Tama is reproduced with a dedicated transverse layout part. **Aft Section/Stern
The stern's double-horn shape is accurately reproduced on the hull bottom part.
**Pre-cut decals are included to express detailed coloring.
The KanNEXT series is designed with a snap-fit system requiring no adhesive, setting it apart from conventional kits.
◆Color tones are expressed using pre-colored molded parts for primary color separation.
◆Fine details and markings are reproduced using highly conforming real stickers.◆A part division method is adopted to minimize visible seam lines. Parts are divided at the waterline, allowing construction of both the surface/full hull types. (Excluding bonus parts) ※This product is made in Japan. ※This product is a plastic model kit requiring assembly. Safety Warning Not applicable
