Product Introduction
The display stand for the Kan NEXT Series “Battleship Yamato” has been redesigned and is now available.
The shape has been revised, and the new design offers improved stability.
As the culmination of large-ship construction technology from the Kongo-class to the Nagato-class, the lead ship of the Yamato-class battleships, the “Yamato,” was completed in December 1941.
This product is themed around the “Battle of Leyte Gulf” when the Yamato, along with the second ship, the “Musashi,” launched an offensive to defend the Philippines.
The mounting points for the Type 22 radar on the bridge sides reproduce the configuration before relocation.
The anti-aircraft command post includes binoculars as a bonus part.
The machine gun firing apparatus in front of the funnels depicts the configuration before its expansion.
The stern jib crane/antenna mast, removed by the end of the ship's service, is reproduced in its correct shape, differing from that of the Musashi.
The flight deck and the wooden deck in the ship's midsection are composed of dedicated parts.
Two secondary guns were removed, and six 12.7 cm high-angle guns were equipped.
The hull parts feature closed portholes, with dedicated parts provided.
Includes the Vice Admiral's flag indicating Admiral Kurita's command.
Features parts for the Type 13 radar.
The base has been newly redesigned. During assembly, it can be flipped over and used as a parts tray.
First production run exclusive.
The display stand top comes in two versions: one with a striped pattern/wood deck pattern, and one with a mechanically textured surface.
The KanNEXT series is a plastic model kit designed to make building ship models easier while achieving realistic results.
