The Yamashiro 1/350 scale model arrives in a limited production run, complete with crew figures that add movement and flair to your display. The battleship Yamashiro was the second ship of the Fusō-class battleships, following the Kongō-class, and was completed in 1916. After undergoing multiple performance upgrades and modifications, it entered the Pacific War era. Deployed to counter the US invasion of the Philippines in October 1944, it was sunk in combat. Yamashiro's bridge featured distinctive characteristics compared to Fuso, including a rounder conning tower and struts with increased spread. It also possessed a distinctive shape with rangefinder support structures similar to the battleship Haruna. This large 1/350 scale allows for detailed modeling. Includes pre-cut paper decals for signal flags, naval ensigns, and commander's flags. Includes ship name decals for display decoration. The product depicts the ship's appearance in 1943 (Showa 18), before the installation of the Type 21 radar on the bridge. Decals include carrier aircraft markings and national flags.
