Product Description\ n
Pit Road 1/144 SNP Series Russian Fighter Su-57 Pre-painted Plastic Model SNP13
The Su-57 is a fifth-generation fighter developed under the Russian Air Force's “Future Combat Air System” program for next-generation mainstay fighters. It is intended to replace the aging MiG-29 and Su-27.
The Sukhoi design was selected in 2002, initiating full-scale development.
Initially scheduled for a 2009 maiden flight, it experienced some delays. The aircraft, designated “T-50” by the Sukhoi Design Bureau, made its first flight in January 2010.
The configuration of the first flight model featured a large tapered wing with a swept leading edge and a swept-back trailing edge. The angle of the fuselage sides matched the angle of the tail surfaces.
In 2017, the Russian Air Force officially designated it as the Su-57.
