Description
HobbyJAPAN - Board Game - Masquerade - Japanese Edition
Masquerade, a bluffing game for 4 to 12 players created by Bruno Faidutti, where players use character abilities.
Now, Masquerade Second Edition, featuring all-new artwork, arrives in Japanese. In Masquerade, each player dons a mask representing a character with unique abilities, such as the Judge, Thief, King, Witch, or Peasant. Players then swap masks (or pretend to swap) during the game, embodying their character and using its abilities to bluff their way to earning coins.
Each player starts with 6 gold coins and one mask card.
Initially, everyone reveals their character's identity, but mask cards are placed face down once the game begins.
On their turn, each player must perform one of the following actions:
・ Exchange (or pretend to exchange) their mask card with another mask card.
・ Secretly check their own mask card.
・ Use their mask's ability (declaring this while keeping the card face down).
You must perform one of these actions.
As the game progresses, you may lose track of your own identity (and sometimes even others').
In this state, use your mask's ability to earn coins.
You can bluff and use a false mask ability, but if caught lying, you'll be fined.
The game ends when someone earns 13 gold or when a player runs out of money.
The player with the most money wins.
This is a bluffing game where the fun lies in deceiving others while hiding your true identity.
