Amory - Royal Navy - Fairey Flycatcher Carrier Fighter - Plastic Model - UR48001
Amory “1/48 Royal Navy Fairey Flycatcher Carrier Fighter Early Production” Plastic Model Kit. To meet the short takeoff and landing requirements for carrier operations, large flaps were fitted to both upper and lower wings. The landing gear could be converted to floats, and the outer wings could be easily removed for compact storage. It also had good maneuverability, reaching 213 km/h with its Jaguar 4 engine. Well-received by its pilots, it remained in service with the Naval Air Service until 1934.
Engine and machine gun parts are precision resin castings.
Includes photo-etched parts.
