Product Introduction\
In 2018, 35 years after the release of the original DW-5000C model, the GMW-B5000 emerges, embodying the concepts of “Evolution of Exterior,” “Evolution of Structure,” and “Evolution of Module.” It features a full metal case and incorporates the Connected engine. A hard stainless steel bezel achieves the full metal case construction. The hollow structure, a core G-SHOCK technology, was re-examined to evolve the shock-resistant construction. A fine resin buffer was inserted between the metal bezel and the main case body, developing a new shock-resistant structure capable of withstanding the full metal case. TROGAMID®, renowned for its high shock resistance, was adopted for the band attachment points, which endure the most impact, reducing the shock applied to the band attachment pipes. The band uses soft urethane material to improve fit. Furthermore, a substantial screw-back case is adopted, with the case back treated with highly wear-resistant DLC coating. Clear visibility is also prioritized, utilizing a film solar cell and an STN-LCD (liquid crystal display) that allows easy time reading even at oblique angles to pursue enhanced legibility. The face design is meticulously crafted, from the dial to the main display layout, featuring a cool finish achieved through the use of a reverse LCD. Despite housing the latest engine, high-density mounting technology maintains compact dimensions. The design inherits the ultimate refinement while evolving the exterior and module. Functionally, it pursues precise timekeeping accuracy, featuring Bluetooth communication and Multi-Band 6, which receives standard radio waves from six global stations. Through the dedicated G-SHOCK Connected*1 app, it acquires accurate time information from internet time servers. In areas covered by the six standard radio stations worldwide, it automatically corrects the time via radio wave reception. Furthermore, Casio's unique power-saving technology enables stable operation with Tough Solar, while practical features like a high-brightness full auto LED backlight and World Time are included. It also supports localization with day-of-the-week displays in six languages*2. It represents the authentic evolution of the Global Basic concept, pursuing the ability to display accurate time worldwide. While retaining the core concept inherited from the original model, it refines the quality as a timepiece through enhancements to the exterior, structure, and module, culminating in the GMW-B5000 finished with a full metal case.\
