The lineup includes two models: black and gold. This time, a hairline finish is applied to both the case and band, maximizing the premium feel and refined metal texture. The use of a reverse LCD further enhances the sophisticated finish. The base model GMW-B5000 revises G-SHOCK's core hollow structure technology, evolving its shock resistance. A fine resin buffer is inserted between the metal bezel and main case, creating a new shock-resistant structure capable of withstanding the full metal case. The band attachment points, which endure the most impact, utilize ROGAMID™ for high shock resistance, reducing the impact on the band attachment pipes. Furthermore, it features a substantial screw-back case with a DLC-coated back cover for superior wear resistance. Prioritizing clear visibility, it employs a film solar cell and an STN-LCD (liquid crystal display) that allows easy time reading even at oblique angles, pursuing enhanced legibility. Despite housing an advanced engine, high-density mounting technology maintains compact dimensions. The design inherits its refined perfection while evolving the exterior and module.
